3PL Logistics – Chicago – 6-7 months initial timeframe

The project involves a Retail client who is changing their 3rd Party Logistic Provider (3PL) and changing & improving the use of the existing SAP logistics functionality, processes and reporting.  The project will include new data exchange interfaces to the new 3PL Provider, and therefore familiarity with data exchanges and interfacing 2 organizations is important.

The resource should have experiences and the ability to support both in a Project Management (structure, plan and manage U.S. operations of SAP and 3PL project) and Business Analyst (business and process analysis, business requirements, training) experiences.  The resource will need to have Logistics process and system experience – ideally with SAP.

A few more details on the responsibilities and experience requirements are included below:

• Representative of the client US IT team – will be supported by SAP, Data Exchange development and testing teams from Corporate client IT
• Deep understanding of Order to Cash and Supply Chain functions (Planning, Order Management, Inbound & Outbound Freight Logistics, Warehouse, Inventory Management)
• Understanding of Data Exchange processes and requirements
• Understanding of Third Party Logistics (3PL) company functions
• Coordination of IT resources as well interface to Business Teams
• Coordination of technical communication to 3PL IT team
